Fully licensed, bonded, and 2x insured!
A lot of “handymen” don’t carry any sort of credentials. They’ve got no license, no insurance, nothing. Some of these guys are just doing handyman things for some side income, especially from apps like TaskRabbit. They’re essentially just random guys with a toolbelt and some free time. So when you hire them, there’s practically nothing to ensure that they’ll do quality work. Nothing to protect you if and when something goes wrong later down the line.
Just have a look at the list of requirements to get licensed in New York City!
Someone who’s willing and able to jump through those hoops is probably someone who takes their job seriously enough to provide outstanding service. It could be risky when you hire someone who doesn’t meet the proper qualifications.
Accidents can happen, and when they do, you’re the one that pays for it one way or another.
For example, they could accidentally make a hole in your wall while working on something else. Or cut some hidden wiring that they didn’t know about. Even if things seem perfectly fine at first, who knows what kind of problems could reveal themselves later? Sometimes you won’t know shoddy work until it makes itself known through a table collapse, or worse!
Whenever an error like that occurs, sometimes they don’t have any insurance to make sure that you are protected. You’ll be left with the bill. And in a place like NYC, where you’re most likely renting, that could really be no good for you! Don’t take the risk with people who don’t take the job as seriously as they should.
We’ve got the tools, the experience, and the reviews to back it up—we can get your job done perfectly!
Reach out and you’ll get your handyman tasks done the right way.
We've got the tools you need
Sometimes you might not have the tools necessary to put up that wall gallery, or piece together your new dresser. Depending on your situation, it could be a real hassle to get them all together. You might need to go and rent what you need, but then you’d have to go back and return them. On top of that, you’d have to make sure that everything comes back in more or less the same condition that you got it. You’ll be the one that’s on the hook if you accidentally damage or misplace something! It’s exactly what could happen if you aren’t sure of how to handle things properly.
It could get costly if you buy your tools outright, and you’d have to deal with storage afterward. And chances are, you’ll have to make room for them once you’re done using them. Finally, if you already have what you need, you’ll likely end up digging it out from under a mountain of other stuff. You don’t have to bother with going through all that trouble.
When you hire us, we more than likely already have exactly what’s needed for the job! You won’t have to worry about proper handling, or keeping track of where tools are. There’s no better place for a tool than in the hands of a pro! So don’t stress yourself over getting stuck on step one.
Hire us for your handyman tasks, and you’ll be guaranteed that your job starts without a hitch
Window AC Installation/Removal
It can be hard to install a window air conditioner unit on your own. Those things are pretty heavy! Which means that the window that it’s going to go in is also going to have to be sturdy enough to support its weight. If it isn’t, then you’re going to need to address that first. You’re then going to need to install a support bracket for your window unit, if there isn’t one already—it’s required by law here in NYC! Plus, it’s just plain safer for everyone. Then you’ll be at the toughest part of installation: lifting that big unit up into the window. All that’s left after that is to make holes for the screws if there aren’t already, screw them in, and then fasten the side panels.
It’s understandably an annoying task to do, and one that’s definitely made all the more unpleasant when it’s done in the heat of the summer. Why strain yourself in the summer heat?
We can get your window units installed while you can relax—no more breaking a sweat trying to install it yourself! Alternatively, if you need your AC removed for the winter, we can do that for you too. Putting it away in storage is great for longevity, so it would be beneficial to not leave it in your window all year long.
Reach out to us for all your AC installation and/or removal needs!
Do you have a new dresser, or bed, or table from IKEA or some other furniture store? They can be tough to assemble, especially if you’re alone. Firstly, you might need to get your furniture assembled in the same room where it’s going to in. Or if not, you’ll need to assemble it somewhere with more space and then move it in. That could cause even more problems, like scraping your floors or walls, or it might need to be carried in. You also might not even have the necessary tools to get your furniture assembled! If that’s the case, you’d need to buy or rent them. And if you buy them, you’d have to find some place to store them. In a place like NYC where space is a luxury, that might not be optimal
Furniture assembly could be one of the most exhausting endeavors you’d do in your home. Hire us to get it done for you! We have tons of experience assembling all kinds of furniture, and yours is likely no exception. No matter what kind of furniture you may have, we’ve seen it all and done it all.
If you want to get some more information on our furniture assembly service, then see our furniture assembly page!
In this city, every little bit of room you can get is worth its weight in gold. Sometimes you might not have space for just about all of your belongings. What can you do about it? Throw or give them away? Pay for storage someplace else? Keep it at a relative’s place and let it be their problem? Or maybe keep them and let them occupy your living space?
The perfect solution would be to install shelving! Utilize the vertical space in your home, or allow you to show off some of your things.
With shelving, you’ll be able to show off your art, awards, photos, or anything else you’d like to display! But unfortunately, putting up shelving can be no easy task. Not all walls can support shelves, so they can’t go anywhere you’d like them to. You’d also have to measure everything and make sure that it’s all level. Why take everything to chance?
You’ll be practically guaranteed that your shelves will be installed quickly and perfectly straight! Instead of dedicating your time to something like that, you can relax while we get it all done for you.
There’s no better feeling than coming home with a new TV. It’s always exciting to unbox and set it up for the very first time. But before you can get to that, you’d have to first figure out where you want it in your home. One problem you could run into is that you might not have the room for a stand. A great way to deal with that is to mount your TV on the wall with a wall mount! You won’t have to deal with moving around a big, heavy TV stand in your living room or bedroom. But there’s a lot of things to consider when you want your TV mounted on your wall.
Much like shelving, you’ll have to consider if your wall can support the weight of a TV. That alone limits where you can and can’t mount it. You’ll also have to think about what sort of mount you’d like for your TV. The simpler it is, the easier and cheaper it’ll be to install it. But more complex mounts, like a fully articulating mount, can be the ultimate convenience when it comes to wall-mounted TVs. Depending on what you want, it could be a lot to do or not much to it.
When you hire us, we can do the heavy lifting for you when it comes to getting your TV mounted!
If you’d like your TV mounted and don’t want to bother with doing it yourself, then let’s talk.
Caulk is one of the most important parts of a bathroom or kitchen. It prevents water from getting into places where it shouldn’t. But often, it’s easy to forget about once it’s been set. You can go years without even thinking about it, by which point it might start to break down. If left unaddressed, like when it’s peeled, cracked, or missing, then there could be serious water damage in your home.
Caulk is also useful in preventing mold or mildew, but if caulk is compromised, then the mold could grow and flourish. Additionally, if your mold is just plain old, then it’s probably time for a replacement! Even if it doesn’t seem like it’s damaged or worn out, it’s best to make sure that it’s still strong. When you need your bathroom or kitchen re-caulked, you’re going to want it to be done right.
You can try your luck and do it yourself, but there’s no guarantee that it’ll be pretty or complete.
It could also be a little hard to reach certain areas, especially in bathrooms that can have some tight spaces. Things could be a lot easier, and simpler, if you get us to do your caulking for you! You won’t have to strain yourself removing old caulk, and you can relax knowing that your caulk will be perfect.
Anything else, just ask!
If there’s anything that you think that we can help you with, then don’t hesitate to reach out! We can do all types of assembly jobs, too. Any kind of flat pack furniture assembly, mobile storage systems, or small office furniture is all fair game.
If you need bedroom or storage solutions, we can get that done too! You might need your closet doors hung, or the tracks aligned, or linings placed. It can be tough to do it alone, and even tougher if you don’t know what you’re doing. And if you need your electronics set up, we can do that as well. If you’ve just moved in somewhere new and need your cable/internet set up, we help with that!
We can also install your camera systems, replace/upgrade your light bulbs, and set up your smart devices. There’s almost nothing that we can’t do when it comes to handy skills. We love a challenge, so if there’s something tough that you need to do, we can help you do it.
If you have a lot of tasks that you need done in your home, then we can be the one to do it all for you. Try us out and see how much you can benefit from having a pro handle all your household tasks! You’ll get yourself the peace of mind and time off that you deserve.
