Dan helped us install a motorized roller shade, which was particularly tricky because the shade was a fraction of an inch too wide for the space. Despite the challenge, Dan got the shade installed and operating in little time. Mr. Daniel was extremely helpful to our medical office. Very patient and understanding, left no mess and extremely clean work. Daniel was also very great on time, understanding the circumstances of our office he was able to come in at the exact time we asked him to, did the job in less than an hour and left no mess for us to have to pick up after. This man gets an A+ for Amazing, so far and above other tradesmen that have come to the house for an assortment of reasons. And he was cleanly dressed! We are already planning other jobs for him to do in the new year. Really fast and responsive communication by text. He gave me a solid price quote and stuck to it even when he found a glitch he wasn’t expecting. Next day service at no extra charge since it was a small job—ceiling fan wouldn’t turn off. He gave me a heads up when he was five minutes away. He was on time exactly—no window appointment, and put on rubber booties as soon as he stepped inside. I have NEVER seen any tradesmen in New York City do that. I usually have to provide those blue paper things, which they immediately lose or forget to wear. He showed up with all the supplies he needed, including an extra long chain for the fan that I can actually reach without standing on the tips of my toes. He even asked for a rag to clean the fan blades that I can’t reach even on those tip toes! He cleaned up and removed all the trash from his work. He’s LGBTQ friendly. He was fast and efficient. His services include general handyman, carpentry, painting, and more. He has over 100 5-star reviews, and I can see why. You can’t go wrong with Handyman Dan! UPDATE 10/20/2023:
Through no fault of Dan's own, one of our blinds (which turned out to be a little too cheaply made) started to come loose a few months after his installation. I reached out to Dan to see if he could swing by for a follow up visit. He was able to fit us into his schedule, and reinforced the blinds within minutes at no extra charge. We're extremely appreciative for his thoroughness and the pride he takes in his work, especially since the blinds came loose due to a design flaw, not his installation. In fact, it's a testament to his abilities that none of the other blinds have had any issues! This is all to say, I'm happy to report that I can once again highly recommend Dan.

When my wife and I realized our window shade installation was a more complicated project than we bargained for, we reached out to Dan based upon all of the glowing online reviews. He responded promptly with a quote and was able to schedule an appointment within days. He arrived on time, took care of the whole project within an hour, and even cleaned up after himself. I was paranoid about putting window units in a New York City apartment on an active sidewalk. I would worry at night thinking about what would happen if it tipped out and broke the window and worst of all landed on someone's foot or head! I called several people that I found on Google to see if they would be interested in helping me install my two window air conditioner units. Handy Dan is the only response I got to my inquiry. And I am thrilled that he contacted me. Dan is personable, hard working, and an expert at whatever you ask him to do.  I was given a price for the job before he started; there were no surprises, and I am thrilled with this work. Not only was he kind and patient with the humans in the apartment, but he was extra special to the furry one.  Our puppy loved Dan, and tried to help him install the window air conditioners!
