UPDATE 10/20/2023: Through no fault of Dan's own, one of our blinds (which turned out to be a little too cheaply made) started to come loose a few months after his installation. I reached out to Dan to see if he could swing by for a follow up visit. He was able to fit us into his schedule, and reinforced the blinds within minutes at no extra charge. We're extremely appreciative for his thoroughness and the pride he takes in his work, especially since the blinds came loose due to a design flaw, not his installation. In fact, it's a testament to his abilities that none of the other blinds have had any issues! This is all to say, I'm happy to report that I can once again highly recommend Dan. ORIGINAL REVIEW: When my wife and I realized our window shade installation was a more complicated project than we bargained for, we reached out to Dan based upon all of the glowing online reviews. He responded promptly with a quote and was able to schedule an appointment within days. He arrived on time, took care of the whole project within an hour, and even cleaned up after himself. Super nice guy who did an excellent job. Highly recommend!

I was paranoid about putting window units in a New York City apartment on an active sidewalk. I would worry at night thinking about what would happen if it tipped out and broke the window and worst of all landed on someone's foot or head! I called several people that I found on Google to see if they would be interested in helping me install my two window air conditioner units. Handy Dan is the only response I got to my inquiry. And I am thrilled that he contacted me. Dan is personable, hard working, and an expert at whatever you ask him to do. I was given a price for the job before he started; there were no surprises, and I am thrilled with this work. Not only was he kind and patient with the humans in the apartment, but he was extra special to the furry one. Our puppy loved Dan, and tried to help him install the window air conditioners! He was good to everyone. And now I sleep well at night knowing that my air conditioners are secure and insured! That's a big deal to me.

Dan was great and incredibly informative. I was really undecided about whether to get the Midea or the Windmill based on online reviews and articles. After speaking with Dan and getting his insightful advice based on his experience installing hundreds of AC units, I was able to decide definitively. Dan was awesome! He had to remove the old a/c unit from my window which was MUCH harder than it looked because the window hadn't been moved up or down in decades. But he pushed through, got rid of the old unit, and installed the lovely new Midea that he recommended. Super professional, thorough, and tidy. Would absolutely use him again for any handyman needs around my apartment!

Dan was incredible to work with! He fixed a broken kitchen drawer that was left in a mess by another handyman. It has been difficult to find reliable and responsive handymen in NYC, so having Dan respond quickly and fix the job with efficiency was a breath of fresh air.

I found Handy Dan on Reddit, the work was done exactly how I wanted, and somehow despite having 3 jobs in the apartment, they finished in less than 2 hours. Looking forward to using him again.
