Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt just finished working on my apartment and he is truly exceptional. Not only is he intelligent, talented, precise, and neat, he is also kind, personable, and incredibly patient. In addition to mounting a TV and hanging a mirror, Matt hung five 6+ foot bookshelves around a single room and took great effort to ensure that they were all level with each other and appropriately positioned in relation to their various pieces of neighboring furniture. I cannot speak highly enough of him. The team at Handy Dan was also great. They responded quickly to my initial inquiry, were clear and straightforward about their pricing, honest about things they do not do and/or are not experts in, and very accommodating when a conflict arose in my schedule.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt did a great job hanging shelves and pictures, anchoring furniture, and installing baby gates. He was patient and courteous and helped us come up with some creative solutions along the way. We’re grateful for his help!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a wonderful experience with Team Dan. Jesse came to take care of a punch list around our home (mounting furniture, patching and painting etc.). He was professional, efficient, and did great work. They were also quick to provide us with a modified COI for our building. Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The “Beginners Tools, Drills, & Home Skills Class” taught by Dan was excellent! Highly recommend! The class was well-paced and easy to follow. I left feeling empowered to take on small home projects. If he offers advanced classes I’ll be sure to sign up.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dan was excellent! I went to his nervous to handy class as a complete beginner. I owned a drill but honestly had no idea how to use it and left feeling soo much more confident! He made sure I understood how to properly use my drill and gave me the practical skills to do things like mount items on my own, which is exactly what I was hoping to learn.

I also really appreciated that he went beyond just teaching us how to use the tools and explained the different types of walls and materials you might encounter, especially in NYC apartments, and what to look out for. That made the class feel really practical and applicable to real life.

Dan was patient, kind, approachable, and clearly very knowledgeable. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand without overcomplicating it. I’d absolutely recommend his class to anyone who wants to feel more comfortable tackling basic projects at home. I also appreciated the small class size and the ability to actually practice live with Dan’s guidance. I’ll definitely keep Dan in mind the next time I need a handyman. He’s professional, knowledgeable, practical, and a chill guy!
